Yoga is considered to be a holistic science that embodies the primary principal of natural connection of different facets of life and it is not considered to be just a mere set of exercises. Therefore, it can be noted that, yoga goes beyong the physical exercise as it is supposed to connect the body with its thought processes which would help an individual build a lifestyle that focuses on harmony, calmness and along with such positive-thinking. Therefore, it is used as an effective therapeutic process for the psycho-somatic disorders. The real meaning of yoga is considered to be ‘union’ which means that it is a union of the mind along with the emotions and the body. Thus, it goes far beyong the normal poses that an individual does on a daily basis.
The primary reason the ‘Yoga Prahran’ and the holistic health and wellness are associated is because the former is a practice that helps or assists in promoting self awareness along with breath control. This is supposed to contribute towards regulating afflictions of the mind. Therefore, it is treated as a holistic system as the mind as well as the body acts in unison which makes the individual get rejuvenated. In addition to this, the physical postures as well as the meditation and the breathing
exercises help in improving the overall well-being of a person. For instance, it can be stated that, the yoga poses that are performed by the individuals in their daily lives are also known as ‘Asanas’ and these are supposed to be directly contributing towards the alignment and deeper sense of connection. Thus, the focal point of the body is considered to be on stretching as the duration of the stretches create calmness which helps in reducing stress which would improve the health while maintaining a balance on all the bodily functions. Hence, yoga is supposed to create a holistic approach to health and fitness as it not only focuses on the physical aspect of health but it also improves the mental health of an individual that makes them lead a good, healthy life.
Why take a holistic approach to health?
Holistic health is supposed to relate to the care provided to an individual for every aspect of their problems. This is supposed to include the mental, physical, spiritual and social needs or requirements of an individual. The root of treating a person’s health through a holistic approach is considered to be based on the understanding that these aspects are supposed to cause an impact on the overall health. Therefore, taking stress is supposed to be a psychological response which might have physical symptoms such as weight gain or headaches or trouble sleeping along with muscle pain. This points towards the deterioration of the physical health from a psychological problem. As a result, the holistic approach to health helps in improving these conditions by boosting the mental and physical health through specific methods which would also improve the spiritual well-being of the individual. The outcome or the implication would be identified through the relationships that such an individual has as it would encourage them to lead a happy and healthy life.
It can be understood that, holistic care providers are supposed to address several varieties of wellness concerns and they are supposed to use clinically proven therapies that are ranging from surgeries to pharmaceuticals along with dietary changes and different kinds of exercise plans. Psychological and spiritual counseling are also considered
considered to be important methods used by the holistic care providers as these offer certain evidence-based alternative therapies for supportive care. Therefore, through the discussion, it can be comprehended that the holistic healthcare empowers the doctors and the care providers to make better choices. As a result, holistic healthcare is supposed to honour the mind and body connection by treating the whole person through several clinically proven therapeutic processes. This is turn helps the doctors and the holistic care providers to build a robust relationship with the individual healthy. Subsequently, it can be noted that, this particular approach is crucial because it addresses the leading cause of the problem rather than just treating the symptoms. This create a position where the act improves the balance of the body as it creates awareness by helping the individual concentrate. Therefore, it can be understood that yoga is essential as it contributes towards the holistic health of the individual. It creates a place where all the aspects of the individual’s health are looked after and this helps them in living a good healthy life. anxiety. This contributes towards the improvement and enhancement of overall health which creates a basis for long life.
